A well-established Kitchen Cabinets and home remodeling construction company based in San Fernando Valley seeks a construction bookkeeper -Collection specialist trainee to join its team. We prefer recent graduates from accounting, finance and business backgrounds.
The candidate will be under the direction of the COO to expand their knowledge in construction accounting, technology, contracting and mechanic lien laws and overall business management skills.
This position involves following up effectively with customers to collect signed contracts, payments and other pertinent documentation on a reoccurring basis as well as meeting defined department goals, activity metrics consistently and most importantly communicating and developing positive long-term relationships with customers.

The bookkeeper trainee will also be making collection calls and initiate written correspondences via email in a fast-paced goal-oriented accounts receivable department, providing customer service regarding collection issues, reviewing customer refunds, processing and revising account adjustments. The candidate will work alongside the project management department to reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due.
They must follow instructions and assist the COO to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with all departments.
